HAPPENINGS IN OUR Community

Mrs. Math Zenzel went to Tomahawk Monday to visit her daughter, Mrs. O. Sutherland and family.

Geo. A. Rogers of Abbotsford was a Curtiss business caller Tuesday.

Grant Herrick and William Hennlich took a fishing trip Sunday and Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. B. B. Green visited Sunday evening at the Ea. A. Hawks home.

Glenn Laabs is the owner of a new Chevrolet Coupe.

John Rahn cam home from Michigan where he has been employed on account of having blood poisoning in his hand.

Mrs. Henry Bublitz left Sunday for Minnesota to visit with relatives.

Miss Rose Thieme was a caller at Curtiss Tuesday afternoon.

The Misses Lila and Jeanette Green visited a couple of days last week at the home of their aunt, Mrs. Albert Kuehling.

Mrs. J. V. Sturner returned home Monday evening after a month’s visit with relatives and friends in the Southern part of the state.

Jacob Johnson went to Marengo Wednesday morning where he will join Ralph and Neal Green for a fishing trip.

Mrs. Wm. Williams and daughter Margaret returned Thursday evening from Tomahawk were they had been visiting at the home of Mrs. William’s sister, Mrs. O. Sutherland.

Henry Wenzel came up Saturday from Yuba to visit with friends for a few days.

Ralph and Neal Green visited Merwin Hawks Sunday. They remained there for a few days fishing.

Mrs. B. B. Green and daughter Edith drove to Marshfield Thursday afternoon.

John Hanson left on Wednesday by car for Tomahawk where he will spend the summer.

Mr. Krause and family of Hilbert drove up Saturday and are visiting at the home of his brother, Ed. Krause and his sister, Mrs. Fred Ecke.

Miss Minnie Larson, intermediate teacher has gone to her home at Unity for the summer months.

SOO’S MOUTAINEER

The Soo’s Deluxe train, The Mounaineer, will begin its summer schedule next Sunday night, leaving Chicago at 10:05 o’clock and passing through Stevens Point at 5 the next morning, enroute to Vancouver.

An East bound train leaves St. Paul at 6:15 Monday evening and is due in Stevens Point at 12:05 a.m. for a ten minuet stop before continuing on to Chicago.

Commencing on next Thursday, June 10, a train starts each day from Vancouver and continues until the close of the tourist season next fall.
