Mohr, Harold "Hap" Raymond (10 November 1925 - 27 October 2008) With Flag

Harold "Hap" R. Mohr, 82, of Seeley died Monday, October 27, 2008 at his home.

Harold "Hap" Raymond Mohr was born November 10, 1925, in Neillsville, the son of Fred and Blanche (Begley) Mohr. He grew up and attended school in Neillsville. In 1944 Hap enlisted in the U. S. Marines and served during World War II until 1946 and was the recipient of the Purple Heart three times. After the military he worked in commercial construction for various places, mainly as a foreman and superintendent. His main company was Madsen-Johnson in Hudson, where he retired as superintendent in 1993.

In 1965 Hap was united in marriage to Mary Ann Gaier in Dubuque, IA. He was a life member of Hayward VFW and attended the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Cable.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann of Seeley; son, Harley Mohr, and daughter, Alaina (John) Tenseth, both of Texas; stepsons, David (Toni) Gaier of Eau Claire and Tom (Sandy) Gaier of Hayward, stepdaughter, Connie Gaier of Hayward; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Ambelang of Neillsville, Dorothy (George) Waller of Withee, and Beatrice "Beats" (Roy) Quelle of Oronoco, MN; one brother, George (Sally) Mohr of Eau Claire; a sister-in-law, Mildred Mohr of Neillsville and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Hap was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald; and stepson, Rick.

Private family services will be held.
