NEILLSVILLE -- Carol Wedekind, 72, formerly of Neillsville, died Oct. 3, 2008, at Clark County Health Care Center.

Services are tentatively scheduled for Monday with visitation Sunday at the Buchanan Funeral Home in Neillsville.

NEILLSVVILLE -- Carol J. Wedekind, 72, of Neillsville, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6, at United Church of Christ in Neillsville.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Buchanan Funeral Home in Neillsville and from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.

NEILLSVILLE -- Carol J. Wedekind, 72, of 209 Wilderness Drive, Neillsville, died at 12:10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, at Clark County Health Care Center in Owen.

Funeral services was at 11 a.m. today at United Church of Christ in Neillsville. The Rev. James Mohr will officiate. Burial will be in Neillsville City Cemetery.

Visitation was from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Buchanan Funeral Home in Neillsville and from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. today at the church.

Carol was born Jan. 30, 1936, at Greenwood to George and Hilda (Haslow) Bredlau. She married Ray Wedekind on June 14, 1958. Their marriage took place on the lawn at his parent's farm. She received her education at Mayflower School in the town of Lynn and attended Neillsville High School. Carol was employed doing restaurant work, then worked at Auto Test in Neillsville and at Nelson Filter in Neillsville for 36 years. Carol had resided in Marshfield for the past two years.

As a couple, Carol and Ray had enjoyed roller-skating at the roller rink in Hatfield, camping and playing cards. She was a member of United Church of Christ in Neillsville.

Surviving Carol are her sisters and brother, Eileen (Walter) Wucherpfennig, Marshfield, Alfred (Suzanne) Bredlau, Neillsville, and Marian Kadolph, Withee; a brother-in-law, Alvin (Yvonne) Lezotte, Merrill; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray, on March 20, 2003; her parents; and a sister, Norma Lezotte.
