GREENWOOD -- Ila B. Olsen, 85, of Greenwood, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Greenwood.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, at Cuddie Funeral Home in Greenwood, and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

She is survived by her daughters, Donna (Duane) Olson, Greenwood, and Judy (Dave) Allar, Marshfield.

GREENWOOD -- Ila Birdine Olsen, 85, of Greenwood, died at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, in Greenwood. Burial will follow in the Lutheran Cemetery, in Loyal.

Visitation was held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood, and will be held from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Ila was born June 8, 1923, in the town of Beaver, the daughter of Albert and Blanche (Francis) Schmidt. On Dec. 24, 1941, Ila was united in marriage to Howard L. Olsen at the Lutheran parsonage in Greenwood. As a young couple, they farmed at various locations in Clark County. In 1950, they moved to a farm five miles north of Greenwood, where they farmed until they retired in December of 1986 and then moved into Greenwood. Her husband, Howard, died on June 30, 1999. Ila continued to live in Greenwood until June 1, 2005 and has resided at the Golden Living Center, in Marshfield, the last two years.

She is survived by her two daughters, Judy (Dave) Allar, Marshfield, and Donna (Duane) Olson, Greenwood; 9 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
