Voightlander, Laura Annie #2 (23 MAR 1873 - 4 NOV 1946)

A week ago today funeral services were conducted from the evangelical and Reformed Church in the Town of Hoard (Clark Co., Wis.) for Mrs. Paul Voightlander, who passed away at her farm home Monday afternoon, Nov. 4, 1946. The Rev. B. M. Fresenborg of Greenwood, officiated at the final rites at 1:30 p.m. from the home, and at 2 p.m. from the church.

Mrs. Laura Annie Voightlander was born on March 23, 1873, at Saxony, Germany. As a young girl of 11 years of age she came to America with her parents, settling at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Two years later moved to Clark County, establishing their home on the present Voightlander farm. On March 31, 1891 she and Paul Voightlander were united in marriage.

Mrs. Voightlander was a faithful and active member of the Bethany Reformed Church for many years, it being only her failing health in late years that prohibited her from being active in social and church affairs.

Her passing on is mourned by her husband, Paul Voightlander, 78, two sons, Henry and Elmer of Curtiss, and three daughters, Mrs. Wm. (Louise) Awe, Owen, and Alma and Lillian, who are at home, and four grandchildren, Henry Voightlander, Jr., Mrs. Clarence Syring, and Calvin and Arnold Awe.

Pallbearers at the final rites were: Charles Lehman, Otto Bublitz, Wm. Schultz, John Burtard, Oscar Hoverson and Charles Sturz.

Flower girls(?) were Mesdames Joe Ackerman, Eino Walkama, Frank Smith and Clarence Stephens.

Relatives her from away to attend the service were: a nephew and son, Norman Erler and son Eugene, of Michigan.
