Burzynski, Mr./Mrs. John (Gold – 11 NOV 1964)

Mr. and Mrs. John Burzynski of 217 Washington Street, Stanley, were the guests of honor at a reception in honor of their golden wedding anniversary, given for them b their children on Saturday, November 7.

The honored couple began their special day by attending St. Mary’s Czestochowa church in Junction with their children. The Rev. Edward Sobczyk of Trempeleau officiated at the 11:00 a.m. mass. Rev. Sobczyk, along with the mass servers, led the couple to the altar and gave the couple a blessing and also presented them with gold rosaries, gifts of their children. Bouquets of yellow mums decorated the altar for the occasion. The four mass servers were their grandsons.

At noon, a dinner was served in the church parlors, with cover laid for about two hundred guests. In the afternoon, a dance was held in the Junction hall, with music by the Jolly Polkateers. Streamers were used to decorate the hall and a beautifully adorned anniversary cake centered the buffet table, from which refreshments were served.

Mrs. Burzynski was attired in a teal blue dress with matching accessories and corsage of yellow roses and carnations with a gold ribbon.
