Pomputis, Julia (29 JUL 1939)

Miss Julia Pomputis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Pomputis of Longwood (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Gorman Uhlig, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gust Uhlig, on Saturday afternoon. The Rev. M. C. Goetsch of Green Grove read the marriage service.

For her marriage which took place at four o’clock the bride wore a white satin gown with lace bolero. Her tulle veil was held in place by a tiara headdress embroidered in seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of roses and asters.

Miss Mary Pomputis attended her sister in a baby blue chiffon frock with white accessories. She carried a bouquet of mixed flowers.

Lawrence Klemetson attended the groom.

A reception and wedding supper held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Pautz of Greenwood, followed the ceremony. White, pink and blue streamers and garden flowers decorated the home of the bride’s brother-in-law and sister.

Guests from away who attended the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Gust Uhlig of Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. Morris Klemetson of Curtiss, and Adolph Pomputis of Chicago.

Mr. and Mrs. Uhlig are making their home on a farm near Longwood.
