Lund, Mathilda (Marriage - 21 August 1948)

Mathilda Lund of Thorp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Cornwell of Loyal, and Vaughn Forster, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Forster of Stanley, were wed August 21 (1948) at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Stanley. The Rev. Fr. P. Pitzenberger officiated, before 80 guests.

The bride wore a gown of white eyelet, with a picture hat to match, and carried white gladioli.

Her bridesmaids were Mrs. Dale Anderson and Mrs. Pat Jordan, and the best man was Dale Anderson. The second groomsman was Pat Jordan.

A reception was held after the ceremony in the Thorp American Legion Hall. Out of town guests included: Mr. and Mrs. Earl Cornwell and family, of Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Julius Klapatauskas, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Kuskel and Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Cornwell, all of Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Buros of Hannibal, Mrs. Roland Seng of Cudahy; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Robertson of Owen; Mrs. Ernest Dutzel of Prentice; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Harmon and family, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Harmon, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Harmon and Mrs. George Schmidt, all of Arkansas; Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Gibson and family, Celia Miller, Romona Beorher, Gus Forester, Julia and Eve Forster, all of Durand; Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Beorher of Mondovi.

After a wedding trip into southern Wisconsin the couple will be at home in Stanley, where Mr. Forster is a farmer.
