Apfelbeck, Margaret (7 July 1901 - 5 Sept. 1956)

Mrs. Carl Apfelbeck of the town of Hull, Wisconsin died Wednesday at 3:45 at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital, where she was admitted Monday, at the age of 55. Funeral services are being planned for Saturday morning at 9:30 o’clock at St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby, Wis., Rev. John B. Pinion officiating. Obituary will be published next week.

Funeral services for Mrs. Carl Apfelbeck, whose death was reported last week, were held in St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby Saturday morning, Rev. John B. Pinion officiating, and internment was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Pall bearers were John and Arnold Ohlinger, Peter, Frank, Leo and Ben Apfelbeck.

Mrs. Apfelbeck, the former Margaret Ohlinger, was born in the town of Hull on July 7, 1901. She married Carl Apfelbeck on June 27, 1918, since which time she and her husband operated a farm in the town of Hull. She was a member of the Christian Mother’s Society of St. Mary’s church.

Surviving are her husband and 14 children - Leon of Lombard, Ill., Claude, Mrs. Lyton (Rosemary) Weber and Mrs. Dennis (Agnes) Weber of Melrose Park, Ill., Hubert of Abbotsford, Arnold and Mrs. Clyde (Lucille) Weber of Wausau, Mrs. Jack (Bernice) Trombly of Jacksonville, Fla., Helen of Wausau, Patricia of Stetsonville and Andrew, Raymond, Robert and Dorothy at home. Two children preceded her in death.

Also surviving are nine brothers and sisters, Bert Ohlinger of Athens, Lawrence, Arnold and John Ohlinger and Mrs. Leo Apfelbeck of Colby, Mrs. Therese Fortman of Fort Recovery, Ohio, Mrs. Susan Gindt of Boyd, Mrs. Nora Eberle of Madison and Mrs. Albert Kunze of Abbotsford, and 13 grandchildren.

Out of town people here for the funeral were from Iron Mountain, Mich., Jacksonville, Florida, Madison, Boyd, Wausau, Stetsonville, Athens, Milwaukee, Stratford, Edgar, Spencer, Fort Recovery, Ohio, Lombard, Okla., Melrose Park, Ill., Franklin Park, Ill., Elmwood Park, Ill.
