Bender, Elaine (Marriage - 28 August 1948)

The Methodist parsonage at Neillsville was the scene of the wedding on August 28 (1948) of Elaine Bender, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Bender, Granton, and Wendell A. Hubing, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hubing, Neillsville.

A street length white dress, styled with a full skirt and tiny flaring peplum was worn by the bride. She had a corsage of yellow and white rose buds.

Miss Mae Bender was her sister’s maid-of-honor. She was attired in a light blue dress and wore a yellow rose bud corsage. Marvin Hemp, Neillsville, was the best man.

The wedding dinner was held at Becker’s Café.

Both are graduates of Neillsville High School. The groom is employed at Reinhard’s garage. They will reside in an apartment in the Charles Hubing house on South Hewett Street.
