Nelson, Marcia V. (Marriage - 24 July 1948)

Marcia V. Nelson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Luritz C. Nelson of River Falls, and Jack K. Crothers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell H. Crothers of Granton, were married, on July 24, (1948), at the New Centerville Methodist Church.

The bride wore a white marquisette gown and a veil which fell from a headdress of tulle and orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of white roses.

Attendants for the bride were Mrs. Gaylord Falde, Beldenville, Miss Imogene Nelson and Miss Jane Crothers. They were attired in yellow and blue. The groom’s attendants were Lawrence Bartz of Granton, Velmo Nelson and Norman Drescher.

About 100 guests attended a reception at the home of the bride’s parents after the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Crothers are both graduates of the River Falls State Teachers College. The groom is now engaged in farming.
