Larsen, Bradley D. (29 April 1931 - 19 August 2008) With Flag

Bradley D. Larsen, 77, Port Orange, FL, died Tuesday, August 19, 2008. He had lived in Neillsville and Marshfield before moving to Port Orange.

He was born April 29, 1931, to Ingvart and Gerelda (Thompson) Larsen. He was the oldest of three children. Brad started working at the Marshfield Clinic in 1955 and became the executive director. In 1971 he took the position of executive vice president and CEO of the First National Bank at Neillsville, working there until he retired. He served 12 years in the Wisconsin National Guard, earning the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. Brad was active in the community. He held the title of Worshipful Master of the Neillsville Masonic Lodge, was an active member of the Neillsville Lions Club, president of the Retail Credit association of Wisconsin and a member of the Clark/Taylor Banker’s Association. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and took numerous motorhome trips with his wife and friends.

Brad was married to Joan Allen. They had two sons, Jeffrey A. and James T. Larsen. Joan preceded him in death in 1997.

Brad is survived by his brother Forest (Angie) Larsen, Neillsville; his sister, Deon (James) Spangler, Neillsville; sons, Jeffrey (Debbie) Larsen, Naples, FL, and James (Marla) Larsen, Sanford, FL; four grandchildren, Odessa King, Jennifer Manning, Erik Larsen and Jesse Larsen; as well as his great-grandchildren, Devin and Gabriel Mistry, Ethan and Brady Manning and Talon King; and his long-time special friend and neighbor, Nancy Force.

Funeral Services will be held Oct. 11, 2008, at the United Church of Christ in Neillsville. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with services at 11 a.m., followed by a lunch. Interment will be held at the Neillsville City Cemetery.
