These Veefkinds came to Wisconsin in 1885 with my Great-Grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Eibergen...originally van Eijbergen...the Veefkinds may have been their "sponsors" in some sense. Also, the Veefkind son, John, and my Grandfather, Arthur, went together to Bentley, Alberta, c. 1914. There my grandfather met and married my grandmother. They later (c. 1921) returned to Wisconsin. A google search for "Veefkind, Canada" reveals a RCMP with that name who died in an accident. I assume he is the descendant of the John Veefkind mentioned in the obituary. Patrick Eibergen
