Deets, Byron J. (11 MAR 1912 - 20 SEP 1947)

Byron J. Deets, 35, a former resident of Clark County, Wis., died suddenly at his home in Marshfield, early Saturday morning of coronary thrombosis. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, at the Loyal Methodist Church, the Rev. L. H. Holmes, pastor, officiating. Burial took place in the Loyal Cemetery.

Mr. Deets was born March 11, 1912, in Richland Center, the son of Omar and Emma (Pizer) Deets. When he was five years old, he came with his parents to a farm near Loyal. He attended the Loyal High School, and lived there until 1937, when he moved to Marshfield.

On Jan. 20, 1932, he was married at Loyal to Inez Castner. In 1942, they went west and he was employed in a west coast shipyard until 1943, when he entered the army and served in the air force until 1946. He was a member of the order of Eagles.

A son died in infancy and his mother died in 1941. He is survived by his wife, his father and his step-mother, who reside in Marshfield, and have been spending the past several weeks in Battle Creek, Mich., and two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Klimmer, battle Creek, and Mrs. Herbert Herdrich, Flint, Mich.
