Miss Gwendolyn Catlin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Catlin, became the bride of Samuel C. Bruckert, Marshfield, at 8 o’clock Saturday evening, Sept. 19.

The ceremony was performed in the Lutheran parsonage at Marshfield by the Rev. G. M. Krueger.

The bride wore a black and white street length dress, with black accessories. She wore a corsage of mixed flowers.

Her maid –of-honor, Miss Charlotte Faulkner of Stevens Point, wore a street length dress of wine and tan, with black accessories, and also wore a corsage of mixed flowers.

Clark Catlin, brother of the bride, served as the groom’s best man. The groom wore his army uniform, and the best man wore a suit of green.

Those from away who attended the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Catlin and Miss Peggy Beaver of Loyal, and Miss Charlotte Faulkner and Clark Catlin of Stevens Point.

A wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents.

The bride is a graduate of the Loyal high school and Wausau Academy of Beauty Culture. For the past years and a half she has been employed at the D and M Beauty Shop in Marshfield and will continue her work there.

The groom attended Purdy high school in Marshfield. He is in the U.S. army service and returned Wednesday to the army air base at Hattiesburg, Miss.

The Tribune joins in wishing the young couple a long and happy married life.
