Luchterhand, Albert (12 SEP 1888 - 23 JUL 1942)

Albert Luchterhand, 53, who had lived in this vicinity all his life, passed away Thursday night, July 23, at the Luther hospital in Eau Claire.

Mr. Luchterhand, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Luchterhand, was born on Sept. 12, 1888, in the town of Loyal. In early infancy, he was baptized in the name of the Triune God.

On June 9, 1909, he entered the holy estate of wedlock with Lillie Oestreich. This union was blessed with two sons. The family lived on a farm about a mile north of Loyal. His wife was called into the Great Beyond June 20, 1928.

Along with his farming, the deceased spent the last 12 years in the implement business in Loyal.

Funeral services were held in the Methodist church at 2 p.m. Sunday, with a short preceding service at the Nichols Funeral Home. Interment was in the Loyal cemetery. The Rev. Myron E. Taylor officiated at the service.

The hymns were sung by Mrs. Ray Prior, J. R. Colby and R. B. Colby, with Mrs. Douglas McPherson as accompanist.

Archie Dorn, Max Neitzel, Herman Bruss, August Witt, John Stelson and August Luber served as pallbearers.

The flowers were carried by Mrs. John Stelson, Mrs. August Luber, Mrs. William Essex, Miss Wilma Bruss, Mrs. Carl Blaubach, Mrs. Matt Vogel, Mrs. Richard Gotter, Miss Ellen Hardrath and Mrs. Clyde Grambsch.

The deceased leaves to mourn his departure two sons, Norman and Garth, a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Norman Luchterhand, and grandson, Michael, and one brother, Frank, all of Loyal; two sisters, Mrs. Walter Limp. Bloomer, and Mrs. Minnie Magee, Haslett, Canada; besides a host of other relatives and friends. Four sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.

Relatives from away who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Limp and Daughter Caroline, Mrs. Raymond Bitney and son and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Berg, all of Bloomer; Mrs. Bertha Luchterhand and son Ernest of Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Greeler, Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. William Luchterhand and children of Marshfield; Miss Louise Luchterhand, Unity; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Kuehnholt, Auburndale; Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Shupe and sons and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Schalow, all of Arpin, and Walter Oestreich, Park Falls.

The sorrowing bereaved are offered the sincere sympathy of the Tribune.
