Wagner, Ruth (Marriage - 2 March 1946)

The wedding of Miss Ruth Wagner, daughter of Mrs. August Wagner, Town of Pine Valley, to Lawrence R. Andrews, Minneapolis, was solemnized at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Neillsville Saturday, March 2. The Rev. William A. Baumann officiated at the double ring ceremony.

The bride wore a white marquisette gown over taffeta. She carried a bouquet of white carnations and pink roses. Her attendants were Mrs. Erna Richardson of Minneapolis and Mrs. Albert Smith of St. Paul. The groom’s attendant was Herbert Wagner, brother of the bride.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s mother following the ceremony. Forty-five guests were present. A wedding dance was also given in their honor at the Neillsville Armory.

Mrs. Andrews is a graduate of the Neillsville High School and Miss Brown’s Business School at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was employed as a secretary of the office workers’ union at Minneapolis prior to her marriage.

The groom is also a graduate of the Neillsville High School and is employed as a railroad clerk at the Great Northern station in St. Paul. He was recently discharged from the air corps, after spending 16 months in Germany as a prisoner of war.

The couple will make their home in Minneapolis.

Opperman and daughters, Dorothy and Marcella, Madelyn Sauerberg and Theresa Apazeller, all of Milwaukee; Mrs. Elsie Sauerberg, Whitewater; Mrs. Harold Erickson and sons, Curtiss, Mark and Gary of Markville, Minn; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Smith and daughter, Kathleen, St. Paul, Minn; Robert Pazderski, Clemence Kusz and Dow Hamilton, St. Paul; Mr. and Mrs. Hal Richardson of Minneapolis.
