My grandfather was brother to Reita Kellenbeck Ebbers great grandmother. William was one of the younger children in that family and died around the same time as Samuel Jr did. I only knew of him through my maternal grandmas family as the Howden family was dispersed after a lot of tragedy. I do have a few old photos and some family stories if anyone is interested. I know several of my moms cousins lived in Dundee Ore for a long time. My moms other cousins said the Howdens were a rough bunch but they really loved their families The old aunties in the family said Hester would come to visit her grandkids after her sons death, and she was an Indian woman who was adopted by a white family.
