Funeral services for John Fredrick Zipfel, 51, who died at his home in the town of Grant August 14, were held Friday at the Zipfel residence and at St. John’s Lutheran church, the Rev. William Baumann officiating. Burial was made in the Neillsville cemetery. His death was caused by arthritis, from which he had suffered for the past 10 years.

Mr. Zipfel was born to Anna Martin and Louis Zipfel on October 12, 1894, on the farm in the town of Grant.
