Gilley, Pearl (5 DEC 1945)

Announcement was made this week of the marriage of Raymond A. Hansen, C.C.S., U.S.N., formerly of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), to Miss Pearl Giller of Castle Rock, Wash. The service was a civil ceremony read at Port Orchard, Wash., on Wednesday, Dec. 5th, 1945.

The young couple were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Willard Slagel, a sister and brother-in-law of the bride.

The groom is a graduate of the Owen High School and has been in the service of the United States Navy for the past ten years. On Nov. 20 he returned to the United States after having spent the past seventeen months on active duty in the South Pacific.

The bride has been employed at Bremerton, Wash.

Following the ceremony the couple left on an extended wedding trip to the Midwest while the groom is also enjoying a long deserved leave from the navy. At the present time they are visiting at the home of the groom’s sister, Mr. and Mrs. Eino Backa at Cudahy, and after the first of the year will visit with relatives and friends in Owen.
