Lueck, Ottillie (24 June 1862 - 23 May 1945)

Mrs. Ottillie Lueck, a resident for many years of the town of Weston, died May 23, at the age of 82. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, May 26, at the Globe Lutheran church, following brief services at the home. The Rev. Adolph Schumann officiated. Burial was in the Globe cemetery. Mrs. Lueck was a member of the Globe Lutheran church.

Mrs. Lueck was a daughter of Carl and Henrietta Schroeder Schoenherr, and was born June 24, 1862, in Germany. She was married there to Albert Lueck November 24, 1885, and came with her husband and one child to America in 1887. They bought a piece of timber land in the town of Weston, Clark county, and by hard work converted it into a farm, which has been her home ever since. Her husband died 16 years ago.

Surviving are five children, 19 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The children are: Erich Lueck, town of York; Lena, Mrs. Theodore Hoffman, Wabasso, Minn.; Charles Lueck, Neillsville; Bertha, Mrs. Henry Stiemke, town of Hewett; William Lueck, on the home farm. A daughter, Rosa Beyer, died in 1935, and two children died in infancy. One sister, Mrs. Bertha Mitte, is living. Two sisters and four brothers are deceased.

Pallbearers were: Peter Reynolds, Henry Heiman, Erwin Hemp, Julius Hagedorn, Alvin Meihack and Anton Meihack.

Relatives from out-of-town who were here for the funeral services included: Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Hoffman and Miss Arlene Beyer, Wabasso, Minn.; Mrs. Erwin Cramer and son, Tommy, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. One grandson in service, Pvt. Arnold Hoffman, is now stationed at Camp Robinson, Ark. Arrangements were in charge of the Jaster funeral home.
