Mikrut, Stanley #2 (6 JUN 1879 - 5 JUN 1946)

Stanley Mikrut, who passed away at the age of 76 years, at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital on June 5th, 1946, was born in Poland on June 6, 1879. He came to America while a young man and was united in marriage to Cecylia Stanula in Chicago on June 21, 1899.

The came to the Thorp community shortly afterward and resided on a farm in the Town of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) for many years. Besides his widow he is survived by one son, John at home, three daughters, Anne of Owen and Harriet, Mrs. Ray Parker of Chicago, and Marie, Mrs. John Schwartz of Chicago, one sister, Mrs. John Kamykowski and one brother, both of Chicago., and one grandchild.

The deceased was a member of St. Joseph’s Sodality and St. Hedwig’s Church, where funeral services were held on June 8th, with Rev. Francis Piekarski officiating, assisted by Revs. J. Kamla and Pritzenberger. Interment was made in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Stanley Gronek, Steve Kaliszewski, Bruno Jarocki, Paul Konieczny, Victor Zielinski and Ignatz Przybylski.

Persons from out of town here to attend the funeral were: Mrs. John Kamykowski, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Mikrut and son Richard, Mrs. Mary Piekarz, Mrs. R. Parker and daughter Phyllis, of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Michael Drozd of Adams, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Drozd, Stanley Drozd, of Boyd; Mr. and Mrs. Victor Drozd of Stanley; Mr. and Mrs. Mike Prueher of Chippewa falls; Mr. and Mrs. Nick Lehnen and son Herbert, Mrs. Harold Parker, Mrs. Clarence Kitzie, Mrs. Louis Bulgrin, Louis Jaeger, of Owen.
