West Levis - by Gladys Beeckler

R. B. French received a letter recently from Dr. Viola DeLane telling of the death of Fred. M. French, who passed away July 15, 1944, at the advanced age of 98 years. He was sick but a short time, although he was almost entirely blind. Mr. French came with his parents to the town of Levis when a small boy. Here he grew to manhood and was married to Hattie Wedding. They lived on the Ehlers arm for several years, then moved to California, where he has resided ever since. He leaves several children and grandchildren to mourn his death. He was buried beside his wife, who preceded him in death several years ago.

Mrs. Norman white let a helping hand at the Wendt home Sunday and called at the Palmer home in the evening.
