Wahl, Edna (Marriage - 29 Aug. 1944)

Miss Edna Wahl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Wahl, Neillsville, became the bride of First Lieut. Claude E. Taylor, of the Army Air Force, in a ceremony performed in the chapel at Berry Field, Nashville, Tenn., on Tuesday, August 29. The ceremony was performed by the Methodist Chaplain at the field.

The bride grew to womanhood in Neillsville, graduating from the local high school and the River Falls state teachers’ college. She has taught history and English for several years, four years in Grantsburg, later in Sparta, and the past two years in River Falls.

The groom is a graduate of the Grantsburg high school and the River Falls state teacher’s college. His father conducts an undertaking and furniture business in Grantsburg, and before entering military service, Lt. Taylor was his father’s assistant. He is an aviator, and has been more than a year’s service in the India and China. He is now an instructor in the air base at Homestead, Fla. They will reside at Homestead while he is located there.
