Haughian, Mary (Marriage - 21 June 1944)

Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Yorkston announce the marriage of their son Robert to Leona Haughian of Milwaukee, daughter of Mrs. Mary Haughian of Rice Lake. The marriage took place June 21 at the Holy Rosary rectory, Milwaukee, the double ring ceremony being performed by the Rev. Walter C. Dean. The young people were attended only by Mr. and Mrs. Yorkston.

The wedding took place during the furlough of Corp. Robert Yorkston, who is at home after an extended service in the Mediterranean theater of war. The young people returned to Neillsville with the Yorkston, and will spend their time hereabouts until Corp. Yorkston reports early in July. He will go to Miami Beach for reassignment. The bride will returned to Milwaukee and will complete her course in nursing. She is a graduate of the Rice Lake High School, class of 1941, and is a student at St. Mary’s School of nursing.

Robert Yorkston graduated from Neillsville High School in the class of 1939. He attended the University of Wisconsin until he entered military service.
