Christenson, Amelia (12 JUN 1875 - 4 FEB 1945)

Last rites were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Thorp Funeral Home by Rev. Jas. Irish, pastor of the Methodist Church here, for Mrs. Sam Christenson of Eau Claire, who passed away at the Luther Hospital there of cancer on Feb. 4, 1945. She had reached the age of 69 years.

Amelia Banderob was born in New Holstein, Wis., on June 12, 1875. She resided at Colby before coming to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.). She was married to Sam F. Christenson in March 1898 at Ogdenburg, Wis. They resided at Thorp for many years and the later years she spent in Eau Claire, Gillett and Chippewa Falls. Mr. Christenson died in December 1941.

Surviving her are one son, Oscar of Ridgeway, Wis., one daughter, Mrs. Florence Landon of Eau Claire and one sister, Mrs. Lottie Hanson of Eau Claire.

Interment took place in the East Thorp Cemetery the following serving as pallbearers: R.G. Lawrence, L.P. Walsdorf, Leon Bogumill, Frank Bogumill, Stanley Glamkowski and A.E. Bauer.
