Schultz, Emilie Bertha Mathilde (Ruckfort) (December 15, 1856 - 20 March 1930)

Aged Curtiss Lady Buried Tuesday

Mrs. Emilie Bertha Mathilde Schultz, nee Rickfort, was born December 15, 1856, in Parlin, Germany. She was united in marriage to Karl Schultz November 7, 1878.

In 1881 they came to America and settled on a farm north west of Curtiss where they resided until 1920, then they moved to Curtiss where Mrs. Schultz passed away Thursday evening, March 20th, at the age of 73 years, 3 months and 5 days.

She leaves to mourn her loss her husband and three children, August of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Minnie Schroeder of Appleton, and Mrs. Rosy Glenzer of Neillsville.

Eight children preceded her in death; Mrs. Lena Bartles of Canada and seven in infancy. She also leaves 11 grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Fred Dunow of Dorchester, Wis.

The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from the Congregational church. Rev. Powell officiating. Burial was made in Pine Hill Cemetery.

We wish to thank those who sent floral gifts, all who furnished cars, the choir for their signing, and Rev. Powell for his words of comfort. Also, we thank the pallbearers and all who so kindly assisted us in the recent death of our wife and mother.
