Florence, Charles Berger (10 Apr. 1923 - 11 Apr. 2008)

Charles Berger Florence, 85, of Loyal, died April 11, 2008, at Saint Joseph's Hospital.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal. Burial will be held at the Sherwood Cemetery in the town of Sherwood.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday at the church.

Cuddie Funeral Home in Loyal is assisting the family with arrangements.

He was born in Milwaukee on April 10, 1923, to George Sr. and Rose (Berger) Florence. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. On Aug. 6, 1949, he joined Geraldine E. Gehrke in marriage at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Marshfield. He farmed near Loyal and worked for Marshfield Homes.

Survivors include his wife: Geraldine, of Colby; one son: Ken Bennett of Dallas and one sister: Betty Dimler of Readfield.
