Pingel, Mrs. Ernestine (11 May 1859 - 11 Jan. 1944)

Mrs. Ernestine Pingel, 84, daughter of Michael and Louise Schild, was born at Polsson, Germany May 11, 1859. She came to America in 1885 and lived in Sheboygan, Wis., where she was married to William Pingel January 28, 1888. Five children were born to this union, Marie, Anna, William, Martha and Minnie.

They moved to Clark County in February, 1894, where her husband passed away July 29, 1919, and the youngest daughter, Minnie died April 12, 1926.

Mrs. Pingel passed away at her home 13 miles northwest of Greenwood, in the town of Longwood January 11.

She is survived by her son, William at home, and three daughters, Mrs. Otto (Maria) Beckman of Thorp; Mrs. Gilbert (Anna) Hardy of Withee and Miss Martha Pingel of Madison, Wis.

Funeral services were held on Friday afternoon, January 14, at 2 o’clock from the Griebenow Funeral Home (Owen, Wisconsin) at Owen. The Rev. B. Fresenberg officiated. Interment was made in the Longwood cemetery.
