Biddle, Alice (29 SEP 1943)

Mr. Emil Meyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Meyer of Stanley, and Miss Alice Biddle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Biddle of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), were united in marriage by Rev. F.H. Sprengler at the Lutheran Parsonage at Thorp on Wednesday, Sept. 29th, 1943, the ceremony taking place at 2:30 o’clock in the afternoon.

The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Harry Witt.

The bride’s gown was of white crepe with lace insertions and a sweetheart neckline. She wore a fingertip veil and carried a bouquet of white roses and carnations. Her bridesmaid wore a blue marquisette floor length gown with matching blusher. Her bouquet was of mixed colored roses. The groom and his attendant wore oxford gray suits.

A reception, attended by near relatives, was held at the home of the bride’s parents after the ceremony.

The newlyweds will reside near Cadott, where the groom operates the big Drywood Cheese Factory.

Friends of the happy couple join in extending best wishes.
