ABBOTSFORD - Mrs. Christina Johnson, 81, Abbotsford, died at 2:45 a.m. today at St.
Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield where she had been a patient for about two months.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Christ Lutheran Church in
Abbotsford. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler will officiate, and burial will be made in the
Abbotsford cemetery.

The body will repose at the Polnaszek Funeral Home in Abbotsford from Sunday afternoon
until noon Monday, and then at the church.

The former Christina Hanson was born June 5, 1884, in the town of Clayton, Winnebago
County, and received her education there. Her marriage to Simon Johnson, who preceded her
in death Jan. 8, 1944, took place Nov. 17, 1903, in the town of Holton, Marathon County.

After their marriage, they farmed in the Milan area and in the town of Holton until 1955
when she moved to Abbotsford.

Mrs. Johnson was a member of Christ Lutheran Church at Abbotsford.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Viola Johnson) Harder, rural Stetsonville; two
brothers, William and Sam Hanson, both of Winchester; four grandchildren and 17
great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers and five
sisters.
