Neillsville Locals (7 November 1968)

Mrs. Sadie Cahill and son of Chicago, Ill., visited her mother, Mrs. Ole P. Larsen, from Friday to Sunday.

Mrs. Ed Sly formerly of the Neillsville area and Arizona, now residing in city Point, visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Zille. Other callers at the Zille home Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Louis Slock of Eau Claire.

The Happy Hour Homemaker club of the Town of Levis brought several senior citizens to the Bryan Home to join the residents in a Halloween Party. Bingo was played, prizes given and a lunch served by Mrs. Bryan. Mrs. Louie Lautenbach furnished piano music.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dahnert arrived home Monday from Belvidere, Ill., where they visited their son, Duane Dahnert and family. While there they witnessed the Miss America parade.

Mr. and Mrs. Roger Johnson and daughter of Cottage Grove spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Milo Hanson.

Mrs. Carrie Harolson of Marshfield visited her sister, Mrs. Edwin Evanson from Friday to Sunday. Mrs. Josephine Symanzsky, who brought her to Neillsville, spent the weekend in Withee with relatives. She returned Sunday to the Evanson home for supper and was accompanied back to Marshfield by Mrs. Harolson.

Mr. and Mrs. Orville Evanson and Duane of Wausau were weekend guests at the Edwin Evanson home. Dennis Evanson of Madison and Linda Grottke called Sunday afternoon at the Evanson home.

Mr. and Mrs. Milo Mabie visited Mr. and Mrs. Don Mabie in Watertown last weekend.

Mrs. Frank Senger and Mr. and Mrs. Emil Wesenberg attended the dedication of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Withee, Sunday, and attended a dinner held at the church after ceremonies. In the afternoon they visited Mr. and Mrs. Pierce Owens, Sr., in Withee. Mrs. Owens is a sister of Mrs. Senger.

Mr. and Mrs. Herman North became great-grandparents when Mr. and Mrs. James H. Dahl of San Antonio, Tex., became the parents of a son, Born November 2. Mrs. Dahl is the former Karen Pree. Mr. Dahl is stationed in San Antonio with the air force.
