Curtiss, Wis. - Nov. 1, 1951

Mrs. Edwin Strade will be hostess to the Ladies’ Aid of the Ev. and Reformed church Wednesday, Nov. 7th.

Louis Schroeder of Appleton, a former resident of this place, called on friends here Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Tonn and family and Mrs. Anna Tonn were guests of friends at Park Falls Sunday. The latter remained at Phillips where she visited Grandma Tonn.

Mrs. Arthur Laabs, president of the seventh district Wisconsin Congress of Parents and Teachers, presided at a council meeting of that group at Hotel Charles, Marshfield, on Saturday.

Helmuth Klessig of Lewisburg, Tenn., called on friends and relatives here the past week. He attended the state convention of cheesemakers at Fond du Lac. He also visited his sister, Mrs. Albert Mandel, and family and brother, Harold Klessig, and family at Colby, Wis.

Rev. and Mrs. O. K. Odland and family drove to Madison Monday where the latter received a physical check-up at the Wisconsin General Hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Erickson spent the week-end at LaCrosse with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Wardwell.

Mrs. John Lokken and Mrs. A. E. Stadler spent the past week with relatives in Milwaukee and Chicago.

Miss Kathryn Peterson of Phillips spent the week-end with her mother, Mrs. Anna Peterson.

Miss Martha Schultz of Abbotsford visited her sister, Mrs. Anna Tonn, the past week.

John Ramminger, who had been confined to the Medford hospital the past ten days, suffering from injuries received in a traffic accident, returned home Tuesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Matthias and son of Taylor county and Emil Matthias of Owen visited Sunday with Mrs. Frank Mattthias.

Mr. and Mrs. Jens Klavestad of Whitehall visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Peterson.
