Gosse, Ione (Marriage - 12 May 1951)

Miss Ione Gosse, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Gosse, and Samuel Bahr, son of Mrs. Albertina Bahr, were united in marriage Saturday afternoon, May 12, at 2:00 o’clock at the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran parsonage at Medford, Wisconsin Rev. A. J. Engel reading the marriage ceremony. Mrs. Victor Gosse was matron of honor and Miss Janet Ackerman was bridesmaid. The groom was attended by Junior Gosse and Ted Bucki.

The bride was attired in a gown the top of which was of lace with cap sleeves and the skirt was marquisette over satin, a fingertip veil and elbow length gloves of lace. Her bouquet consisted of red and white roses. The matron of honor wore a gown of yellow marquisette with a sweetheart hat to match and her bouquet consisted of white gladiolus. The bridesmaid wore a gown of nile green and a sweetheart hat, styled like that of the matron of honor’s. Her bouquet consisted of yellow gladiolus.

A wedding reception was held at the Curtiss village hall which was decorated in yellow, green and white and with white wedding bells for the occasion.

The young couple left on a wedding trip to Kalamazoo, Mich., Chicago, Ill., Milwaukee, Pittsville, Superior, Medford, Curtiss, Colby and Dorchester and will be at home after May 20th in Milwaukee where the groom is employed by Globe Union.
