Dumbrowe, Caroline (Marriage - 25 July 1932)

A wedding of much interest to the people of this community took place at the Lutheran parsonage at Dorchester last Monday when Mrs. Caroline Dumbrowe of Abbotsford, and Christian Brenner of LaFayette, Indiana, were united in marriage, the Rev. J. Brandt tying the nuptial knot.

Mrs. Dumbrowe has been a resident of Abbotsford for some time and is a very familiar figure on our streets. While the groom is very little known here, we compliment him on his choice of a bride and join with the people of the entire community in extending hearty congratulations to the newly-weds who will make Abbotsford their home.

The couple were treated to a charivari Monday evening.

*Transcriber note: According to two posted obituaries, Caroline was the widow of Emil Dombrowe. Abbotsford Cemetery Index shows she was buried next to Emil as "Caroline Dombrowe" nee Gammer. Her marriage date to "Brenner" is shown there as 25 July 1933 (taken from posted Colby Phonograph obit), rather than 1932.
