Reil, Joseph (7 FEB 1854 - 12 JULY 1932)

Joseph Reil, 78, a pioneer resident of this vicinity, died Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock at the home of his son, John Reil of the town of Colby, Wis. Funeral services are to be conducted Friday afternoon at two o’clock at St. John’s church in Colby, the Rev. G. F. Hahn officiating. Burial will be in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery.

The deceased was born February 7, 1854, in Germany and came to this country in 1874, settling in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Two years later he moved to Colby where he married Minnie Ott on November 29, 1882. Surviving are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. W. R. Gustman of Milwaukee; two sons, John of the town of Colby and George of Abbotsford; a sister, Mrs. T. Fielding of Newald; a brother, Michael Reil of East Chicago, Ind., and three grandchildren.
