Weix, Mr./Mrs. John (50th Anniv. - 14 Nov. 1950)

Mr. and Mrs. John Weix celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on November 14th. The day’s festivities began at 9:00 A.M. with a special high mass at St. Mary’s Catholic church, Rev. N. B. Beschta officiating. Dinner was served in St. Mary’s gymnasium at noon for members of the immediate families, relatives and friends.

The couple was married in Watertown on November 14th, 1900, and moved to a farm in the town of Hull where they resided until 1943 when they moved to the city of Colby, They have two children, Marzell Weix of Dorchester and Mrs. John (Delephine) Gries of Colby, Wis. Also one grand daughter, Mrs. Lester (Marcia) Miller and one great grandson, Russel Miller, of Abbotsford, Wis.
