Andrew, Helen (Marriage - 10 June 1950)

Miss Helen Andrew of Milwaukee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Andrew of Colby, and Raymond Deml of Aurora, Ill., son of Mrs. Tillie Deml of Medford, were united in marriage at St. Mary’s Catholic church Saturday morning, June 10th at 9:00 o’clock, Rev. N. B. Beschta reading the marriage ceremony. Miss Evelyn Andrew, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and Mrs. John Hayton of Aurora, Ill., sister of the groom, and Mrs. Ralph Andrew, sister-in-law of the bride, were bridesmaids. The groom was attended by Lloyd Andrew, brother of the bride.

The bride was attired in a gown of rayon marquisette, long pointed sleeves, buttoned down the back, wide ruffle of same material around the bottom of the dress and around a long train, fingertip veil caught to a large tiara of pearlized orange blossoms. She wore a necklace which her mother wore at her wedding 30 years ago. Her bouquet consisted of Easter lilies and lilies of the valley. The maid of honor wore a light blue rayon marquisette gown with matching gauntlets. Her colonial bouquet consisted of pink and white carnations and she also wore matching flowers in her hair. Bridesmaids dresses were in pink and similar to that of the maid of honor. Bouquets were also similar. All three also wore cameo necklaces and earrings, gifts of the bride.

A reception was given at the home of the bride’s parents.

The young couple will make their home in Aurora, Ill., where the groom is employed by the Layne-Western Co.

Out of town people here for the wedding were Misses Kathryn and Anna Andrew of Marshfield, Mrs. Tillie Deml of Medford, Mr. and Mrs. John Hayton of Aurora, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Roy Deml of Medford, Mr. and Mrs. Allan Reinholdt of Milwaukee and Mrs. Arnold Knauff and son of Marshfield.
