Zimmer, Marian (Marriage - 23 Apr. 1955)

Miss Marian Zimmer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Zimmer, and William Haas, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Haas, Sr., were united in marriage Saturday, April 23, at 2:30 P.M. at the parsonage in Albertville, Minn., Rev. J. Pothman reading the marriage ceremony.

The bride was attired in a gown of white net lace over satin, waltz length, with pointed sleeves, fingertip veil. Her colonial bouquet consisted of red roses.

Madeline Zimmer, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor and Doris Haas, sister of the groom, and Betty Carlson, a friend of the bride, were bridesmaids. They wore formal dresses, net over crystalette, with matching headdresses, in yellow and blue respectively. Their colonial bouquets consisted of mixed daisies, blue and yellow and pink. They also wore pearl necklaces and earrings, gifts of the bride.

Both mothers wore dark blue dresses with white accessories. Their corsages consisted of white carnations and pink roses.

The groom was attended by Jerome Schultz as best man and Kenneth Dombroski and Norman Zimmer. Bernadine Zimmer, sister of the bride, was flower girl and Randy Schultz, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer.

A reception was held at the Albertville school auditorium which was decorated with blue, yellow and white streamers and roses for the occasion. A dance was given in the evening at Big Lake, Minn.

The groom is a co-owner of a dairy farm.

Relatives and friends attending the wedding were from Colby, Wis., St. Cloud, Minn., Cook, Minn., Bird Island, Minn., Robbinsdale, Minn., Monticello, Minn., Minneapolis, Minn., Elk River, Minn., Hawkins, Wis., and Circle Pines, Minn.
