Turenne, Delia (1 JUN 1861 - 30 AUG 1941)

Mrs. Louis Turenne passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A.N. Yates at Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) on Saturday morning, Aug. 30th, 1941, at 1:30 o’clock. She had reached the ripe old age of 80 years.

A former resident of the Town of Reseburg for many years, she has been residing with her daughter since the death of her husband fifteen years ago.

Funeral services were held at Owen, Monday morning last and interment was made in the Catholic Cemetery at Thorp. A complete obituary will be published in this paper next week.

Last rites were held on Monday morning, Sept. 1st at the Catholic Church in Owen for Mrs. Louis Turenne, a former resident of the Town of Reseburg, who passed away of old age complications at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A.N. Yates at Owen, on Aug. 29, 1941. She had reached the age of 80 years and 3 months.

Delia Juneau was born in Canada on June 1, 1861. She was married to Louis Turenne in June 1881 and one years later they came to the United States, residing in Escanaba, Mich. And Fond du Lac, Wis., before locating in Thorp in the fall of 1908. Mr. Turenne died in May 1926 and since that time deceased has been making her home with her daughter, Mrs. A.N. Yates and family, at Owen, Wis.

She is survived by three sons, Albert, Peter and Joseph Turenne of Thorp; two daughters, Mrs. C.R. Flanders of Fond du Lac, and Mrs. A.N. Yates of Owen. One daughter, Margaret, and one son, George, preceded her in death.

She was laid to rest beside her husband in St. Bernard’s Cemetery at Thorp.
