Boardman, Tora (19 JUN 1884 - 24 AUG 1941)

Mrs. Erve S. Boardman, 57, of Eidsvold (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away Sunday evening at 10:30 o’clock at the Stanley Hospital of pneumonia. She has been a resident of this community for forty-six years.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 from the home and at two o’clock at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church at Stanley.

Mrs. E.S. Boardman, 57, of Eidsvold, passed away at Victory Hospital in Stanley Sunday night at 10:30 o’clock, death being due from pneumonia.

Miss Tora Lee was born June 29, 1884, at Roken, Norway, and at the age of six years came to the United States with her parents. They settled at Westboro, Wis., where they lived until 1895 when they moved to Eidsvold, nar Stanley, and where the deceased has since resided. In 1906 she was married to E.S. Boardman who survives with the children, Mrs. Glenn Richardson and Willis Boardman. She is also survived by the following brothers and sisters, Christ, Edward and Genny Lee of California; Arthur and Albert Lee of Gilman, Mrs. B.G. Horgan of Irma, Wis., and a foster sister, Mrs. Gunda Grandy of Seattle, Wash., and two grandchildren, Gail Lee Richardson and LeRoy Willis Boardman. For many years Mrs. Boardman taught school in the Stanley community.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon from the home in Eidsvold and at 2 o’clock from Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Stanley, Rev. Midtlein officiating.
