Gayken, Minnie (1889 - 17 Dec. 1954)

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home in Owen for Mrs. Minnie Gayken who died Friday at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Gayken, in Portland, Ore., at the age of 65 years. Internment was made in the Pine Hill cemetery at Curtiss.

Mrs. Gayken, nee Aldinger, was married to Weert Gayken on January 8, 1910, at Britt, Iowa. In 1915, the couple moved onto a farm in the town of Hoard where she lived until the death of her husband on February 14, 1945. The past two years she lived in the village of Curtiss. A month ago, she left to spend the winter with here son in Portland, Ore.

Surviving are two other sons, Lee Gayken of Portland, Ore., and Clifford Gayken of Curtiss, two daughters, Mrs. Franklin (Frances) Peissig of Curtiss and Mrs. John (Ida) Rumminger of Owen; and 16 grand children.
