Burrington, Rosa (12 JAN 1869 - 9 JUL 1941)

Mrs. Rosa Burrington, a resident of this community (Thorp, Clark Co., Wis.) for the past forty-one years, passed away at her home in the town of Reseburg (Clark Co.) on Tuesday, July 9th, 1941. She had reached the age of seventy-two years.

Rosa Hardy was born in Richland Co., Wis., on Jan. 12, 1869, coming to Thorp in the year 1900. Her husband, Albert Burrington, preceded her in death.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Arthur Bobb of Reseburg; five sons, Horatio and Delbert of Richland Center, Pirl of Thorp, Albert of Rockford, Ill., and Forrest of Stockton, Calif.; four brothers, Thomas Hardy of Edgemont, S.D., Isaac of Richland Center, Charles of Thorp and Albert of Withee; and two sisters, Mrs. James Farzel of Richland Center and Mrs. Wm. Owen of Spencer, Wis.

Rev. Wesley Hotchkiss conducted the funeral services at the Congregational Church at Reseburg at two o’clock Saturday afternoon, July 12th and interment was made in Sylvan Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kenneth Bobb, Clyde Burrington, Hugo Farzel, Alan Owen, Henry and Eugene Hardy.
