Ryskoski, Sandra Dawn (Marriage - 12 June 1954)

Miss Sandrea Dawn Ryskoski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Casmier Ryskoski of Medford, and Clarence Walter Tyznik, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Tyznik of Colby, route 2, were united in marriage in the Holy Rosary Catholic church in Medford on Saturday morning, Rt. Rev. Msgr. Gregory Reuter reading the double-ring ceremony.

A Peter Pan collar and Chantilly lace sleeves which came to points over the wrists detailed the lace and satin bodice of the bridal gown which closed down the back with lace-covered buttons. The floor-length skirt of white satin had an overskirt of net and lace. Net petals scattered with rhinestones formed the headpiece which held the finger-tip veil. She carried a colonial bouquet of pink roses and lilies of the valley. The lilies of the valley were repeated on the streamers of the bouquet.

The bridal attendants wore matching stoles and gauntlets with their strapless gowns of net over taffeta. Their headpieces were styled like that of the bride and they carried colonial bouquets of carnations and lilies of the valley.

Miss Donna Emmerich of Medford, friend of the bride, wore light blue in her role as maid of honor. Aides were Miss Janice Gebert and Miss Janet Stama of Medford, in light pink and light green respectively; Miss Joan Dehn of Unity, light orchid, and Mrs. Douglas McGinis, sister of the groom from Chicago, in light maize.

Flower girl was Maureen Gail Ryskoski, also of Medford, who wore a floor-length gown of white organdy with over skirt of net. The neckline was scalloped. Daisies comprised her headpiece and were repeated in the basket she carried.

James Magner was best man and groomsmen were the groom’s brother, Henry Tyznik of Colby, his cousins, Joe and Ray Tyznik of Lublin and his brother-in-law, Douglas McGinis of Chicago. The bride’s brother, Michael, was the ring bearer.

The mothers of the bridal couple chose white accessories with their navy blue suits and each had a corsage of red roses and white carnations.

A wedding breakfast, dinner, reception and supper were held in the American Legion club rooms at Medford with a wedding dance that evening in the Memorial hall of Dorchester, Wis.

The bride is a graduate of the Medford High School. The groom, a graduate of the Colby High School, attended Wisconsin State College at Eau Claire before entering the Army. Presently he is stationed at Fort Lewis, Wash. The couple will make their home in Olympia, Wash., until his discharge from service and then will reside in Chicago.

Guests from Chicago, Colby, Unity, Lublin, Gilman, Stevens Point, Marshfield, Milwaukee, Sheldon, Merrill, Minneapolis, Thorp, Medford and Stetsonville were in attendance.
