Seaman, Arthur (10 AUG 1869 - 3 MAY 1941)

Arthur Seaman was stricken by a heart attack while eating a noonday meal with his family on Saturday, May 3, 1941, at his home. He had reached the age of 71 years and 9 months.

Arthur J. Seaman was born on Aug. 10, 1869 at Marian, Minn. He came to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) in the early days of 1878 and was united in marriage to Miss Meta Frese on March 22, 1905.

Surviving him are his widow and two sons, Harvey and Milton of Thorp; three daughters, Elizabeth (Mrs. Ed Mocha) of Cadott, Anna (Mrs. Robert Burroughs) of Orlando, Florida, and Laura (Mrs. Arnold Anedson) of Stanley; one sister, Mrs. Anna Evans of Appleton, Minn. One son, Bernard, preceded him in death in 1931.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Jas. Irish at the Bogumill Funeral Home at two o’clock Tuesday afternoon, interment taking place in the East Thorp Cemetery. Pallbearers were Wm. Glasshof Sr., Melvin Boardman, W.E. Barrett, Alfred Burkhardt, Jake Smith and Frank Smitke.
