After his marriage to Mabel Hanson of Abbotsford on May 16, 1908, he opened a meat market in Abbotsford and remained there for 30 years. In 1938, he took over the Midget City Meat Market in Colby and operated the market until 1949 when he retired and lived with his daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Joyce) Kratchowill of Muscoda. His wife died on November 10, 1949.

Surviving are one son, Warner of Loyal; three daughters, Mrs. Kratchowill of Muscoda, Mrs. Ben (Lenore) Riplinger of Rockford, Ill., and Mrs. Allen (Birdell) Brehm of Griffith, Ind.; three grand children; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Nelson of Chicago and Mrs. Harry Feezor of Antioch, Ill.; one brother, Edward of San Diego, Calif.

Mr. Berry will be remembered in Colby by many for his pleasant and friendy diposition, honest in all his dealings. This attitude made him many friends, resulting in a flourishing business.
