Butler, Louise Katherine (7 Jan. 1874 - 13 Apr. 1953)

Mrs. Abe Butler died at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital Monday, Apr. 13, at 10:45 P.M., at the age of 79 years, pneumonia being the cause of her death. The body will lie in state in the Lulloff Funeral Home until Friday noon. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock in the Zion Lutheran church, Rev. O. Hoffmann officiating, and internment will be made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery.

Louise Katherine Weller was born in Wiesek, Germany, on January 7, 1874, and came to the United States with her parents in 1881. The family then lived in Sheboygan for one year and then moved to the town of Hull where she lived until her marriage to Herman Mueller on Dec. 26, 1895. They moved onto a farm in the town of Colby where they lived. Mr. Mueller died January 22, 1910. On July 3, 1922, she married Abe Butler and then the couple moved to the city of Colby, Wis. Mr. Butler preceded her in death.

Surviving are three sons, William Mueller of Colby, Edward and Walter Mueller of Athens; one daughter, Mrs. Fred (Evelyn) Besiner of Dorchester; one step-son, Earl Butler of Colby; eight step grand children; three brothers, Louis and Fred Weller of Colby and William Weller of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Two brothers and her parents also preceded her in death.

The deceased was a good Christian, honest in all her dealings, and, being of a congenial disposition, had many friends who will miss her.
