Hafemann, Willis L. (8 Sept. 1913 - 18 Mar. 1952)

Mr. and Mrs. Hugo C. Hafemann of Colby have been notified of the sudden death of their son, Willis L. Hafemann, which occurred at his home in Pierre, South Dakota, Tuesday morning, March 18, at 10:30, a heart attack being the cause of his death. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock in Pierre.

Willis L. Hafemann was born in Colby, Wisconsin on September 8, 1913, and graduated from the local grade and high schools. He received his religious education at the Trinity Lutheran church in Unity, Wis. On February 12, 1944, he married Miss Allice Finley of Pierre, S. Dak., at Marshfield, Wis. He spent most of his life in Colby, a few years in Marshfield, and, for the past four years, was located in Pierre, S. Dak.

In addition to his widow, he is survived by his parents, three brothers and four sisters - Mrs. Elmer E. (Milda) Holl of Milwaukee, Mrs. Harold (Myra) Couve of Milwaukee, Mrs. Gladys Rogney of Sturgeon Bay, Lyle H. Hafeman, serving in the U.S. army, Calvin Hafeman of Sturgeon Bay, Harold Hafeman of Chicago and Mrs. Raymond H. (Aloha) Hoefs of Green Bay. Also three nieces and three nephews.
