Wiegman, Bernita (Marriage - 14 Feb. 1952)

Miss Bernita Wiegman, daughter of Mrs. Otto Rahn of Colby, and Walter Stecker, son of Hubert Stecker of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada, were united in marriage Thursday afternoon at 1:30 P.M. in St. John’s Lutheran church at Lake City, Minn., Rev. Howell reading the marriage ceremony. The couple’s only attendants were the bride’s brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Edblom of Unity, Wis.

The bride wore a dusty rose colored suit with orchid accessories accented with a shoulder corsage of tea roses. Mrs. Edblom wore a gray suit with pink accessories and a corsage of pink tea roses.

A wedding dinner for the immediate families was served at the home of the groom’s sister, Mrs. Robert Prestin, in Lake City. A reception was held Saturday evening at the home of the bride’s mother in Colby, Wis.

The bride and groom are both employed in Marshfield, the bride at the A. H. Weinbrenner Co. and the groom at the Service Bakery. When they return from a wedding trip to Northern Wisconsin, they will reside at 201 W. Depot street, Marshfield.
