Gault, Mrs. Geraldine (Marriage - 18 Sept. 1943)

St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Neillsville, was the scene of the wedding of Mrs. Geraldine Gault, Neillsville, daughter of Mrs. William Farning, Neillsville, and Frank Sturgeon, Owen, Wis., on Saturday, September 18, at 9 a.m., the Rev. Fr. J. A. Biegler performing the single-ring ceremony.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her son, Wallace Gault, was attired in a sheer rayon print dress with navy sheer redingote, navy hat and accessories. Her corsage was a white galdioli tips. The matron of honor, Mrs. John Wyer, daughter of the bride, chose a gray two-piece jersy dress, with black accessories, and a corsage of white gardenias. The groom was attended by William Hughes of Milwaukee, brother-in-law of the bride. Ushers were Leo Frei and Larry Stabnow.

Music for the service was furnished by the choir of St. Mary’s Church, of which the bride has been a member for the past 27 years. Her daughters, Misses Margaret and Patsy Lou, each sang a solo in the service. Miss Margaret wore a dress of black and white, with a white hat, and Miss Patsy wore a navy blue and white.

This service was made especially impressive by the fact that five children of the bride took part in the service: Shirley was matron of honor; Margeret and Patsy Lou sang solos; Wallace gave his mother in marriage; and her and James were servers at the mass.

The wedding reception for relatives and close friends were given at the home of the bride. The house was decorated with cut garden flowers.

After a short wedding trip Mr. and Mrs. Sturgeon will reside at the bride’s home on North Hewett Street.

Mrs. Sturgeon is a graduate of the Neillsville High School, with the class of 1920, and has been employed in Owen and Milwaukee for the past year. Mr. Sturgeon has been employed as a steel worker for the Nordburg Manufacturing Company, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Out-of-town guests who ere here to attend the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Walter Granger and Mrs. Edward Granger, Chippewa Falls; Mr. and Mrs. William Hughes; Mr. H. George Farning, Blue Island; Mrs. John Wyer, Rockford, Ill.; Mrs. Margaret Brand and son, Foreest, Owen; and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Keuer, Granton.
